Matthew 25:34-40

Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:  for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in;  I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’
“Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink?  When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You?  Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’  And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’

India

The Katta Family live in Andhra Pradesh, India. They feed, clothe, and house 50 orphans in their care. In October of 2005 Pastor Mike went to India to visit this family and learned of the severity of their plight. PFC recently built an orphanage to provide adequate housing for the children. Along with regular donations made by faithful individuals like you, we have an ongoing penny drive and pop can drive happening to help provide financial assistance for the maintanance and upkeep of the orphanage. We would be blessed to have your pennies and pop cans - every can counts! All donations can be dropped off at the church during regular business hours.  Won't you consider sowing into this great work?

Visit our Photo Album page to see the Katta Family's orphans in India.

*Recent News*

Dear beloved Pastor and brethren of Praise Fellowship.

Praise the name of the living God.  Thanks alot for all your support. I did not know that Moses had sent the pictures since he is not there at the moment, he is in the US.

The situation has become more tense in Kenya and I keep on thanking God for not allowing Pastor Chuck to come to Nairobi.

People have continued to run over to our town.  So far the government has put them in a refugee camp a few kilometres from where we are.  UN has come in by supplying blankets and other necessities like soap etc.  Our church is on the relief team.  We are thankful to God to use us so.

What we do we cook food and take it and supply a plate of hot food to both adults and kids whenever we have the money, this has opened the eyes of government leaders about what God is doing through us and they have appreciated. I will be faxing you one of the letters they wrote inviting us in one of their meetings and indeed they appreciate what the church has done.  This has been possible through your support and we return all the glory to God.

The refugees in the camp are now around 1700, it is not easy to cook and serve such a big group but the Lord has called us to put a smile on his peoples faces.
The situation has grown worse, this morning one family of six came to me and were asking me what to do, I made arrangements and we took them to the camp and promised to be there on Wednesday by the grace of God.

When the people see us with the food they begin singing praises to God.  There is a lot of killing in Kenya still we do not know when this will end. One woman ran after being ordered to watch as they cut her hushand to pieces.  Many of these women and children are so draumatised.

When we started the feeding centre, we did not know we were going to end up being in the middle of a big rescue team. We return all the glory to God.  I have sent some of the pictures and I will send more on Wednesday if we go down there to feed them again.

Please pray for us and for the people of Kenya, and support financially where you can.
May the blessings of God rest upon each one of you.

Yours,
Betty Wodila
On behalf of Ebenezer Gospel Center.

Africa

Africa

Pastor Phil and Star have immersed themselves in the daunting task of bringing Light to some of the darkest parts of Africa. In many of these remote areas, westerners and the ideals they bring are not readily welcomed. To combat this, Phil and Star have a put together a mission school. Here they train the Kenyan people to be missionaries to their own. These native missionaries can then go forth, bringing the gospel to remote tribes and villages, with greater effectiveness than the "white man" can.

Kenora, Ontario

Ken & Carrie Visser & Family

Our Journey: We are quickly closing in on one year of our journey in Kenora. It's been a difficult year of facing many challenges, disapointments, hurts and dying flesh.....which is never pleasant. The flesh never dies easily does it? Amidst the challenges, there have been many rewards as we've stepped into ministry. Through it all, we have come to realize that we are carrying a seed of destiny for this region within us, which means there is always a price to pay to carry that seed. We are in great company with many heros of the Bible who have borne reproach for the seed they've carried. Just to name a few: Mary~ bore reproach for accepting the call to carry the Savior of the world. John the Baptist~ bore reproach unto death for preparing the way for Jesus. Jesus~ bore much reproach to carry out what the Father asked Him to do. The common thread with each of them was that they realized it was worth all the reproach to carry the call.We also are willing to bear reproach to carry the seed of destiny with in us.....and carry it to full term.

Year at a Glance : To recap our year, we arrived in Kenora on June 8th with everything we own packed in a 26' Uhaul. The Lord had told us specifically NOT to look for housing, that He had everything worked out. I guess our way of Him “working it out” and His were two different things. We were literally expecting to run into someone who had a home ready for us! "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55: 8,9 After three days in a dumpy motel, a van in desperate need of repair, finances depleted, and no home in sight, we suddenly realized that this was NOT going to be the journey we'd expected. As discouragement was quickly setting in and a desperation for direction from the Lord filled our hearts, we were invited to an Aglow meeting. It was there that we met a beautiful Spirit-filled woman who took us in and called us “the family she's been praying for”. We spent the summer at her place and it was then that the Lord told us to REST!.....and rest we did! We didn't realize how burnt out we really were. He not only planted vision in our hearts but He connected us that summer with an amazing group of intercessors who have been contending in prayer for this region for years. We met together all summer and continue to meet every Saturday night to share a meal together and worship the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Our worship has intensified over this past year to the point where we aren't singing regular songs anymore. We simply begin singing spontaneous love songs to Jesus, which turn into prophetic song and a time of warring in the spirit. “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55: 8,9 When we first came to Kenora we pinpointed many strongholds over this region and were ready to go to war in prayer to tear them down. The Lord spoke to us very clearly NOT to war in the 2nd heaven. We were to go straight to the 3rd heaven in our worship and it was then that HE would dispatch His warring angels to fight. It wasn't our job to fight (unless a demon was right in our path).....our job is to WORSHIP! WORSHIP! WORSHIP!

Hope Deferred : In August we met a wonderful couple, Todd & Gwenda MacPherson. They share the same heart for revival in this land. We immediately connected with them and we all felt strongly that we would be partnering together as leaders of a team to bring in the harvest. Things changed very quickly when we noticed that events were being planned without us being included in the decisions. The ministry was named, business cards ordered and even non-profit organization status was applied for. His goal being to open a house of prayer. One by one we also saw every one of the intercessors stand behind him 100%, leaving us abandoned and walking alone with the vision we carry. The sting of rejection was staring us in the face once again. A confusion came upon me and as I cried out to the Lord about what was happening, He spoke clearly to me and peace flooded my soul. He said that we have two seperate callings. Todd's calling is primarily to train and equip the believers, while our calling is to the lost. He also said that the reason everyone is standing behind him and not us is because His ministry is safe.....ours is risky. As our wounds of rejection began to heal and we met with Todd and Gwenda once again, Gwenda had a vision which brought even more clarity. She saw a tuning fork which represented our ministries.....seperate, yet joined together.

Birthing of the Ministry: In October, God really began to stir Isaiah 58 in my heart and I was grieved in my spirit when I realized that we (the church) aren't doing this. We sit Sunday after Sunday in our comfortable pews while there are precious people out there in desperate need of healing and who are dying everyday and going to hell. What are we thinking?.....we carry their answer, the healer, the deliverer right inside of us! I was so provoked to hit the streets to minister to the lost. At the same time, God was changing our “theological mindset” on healing. We've always believed that God heals.....but also believed that He sometimes ALLOWS sickness to melt us and mold us into better people. Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke? Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh? Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy rereward. Isaiah 58:6-8 As he has daily been filling us more and more with His love through soaking in His Presence and spending time communing with him, we have come to realize that a loving Father would never cause sickness to come upon us. Nothing bad can possibly come from Him.....He IS love. Sickness comes from the devil.....period! With this new found revelation and fire burning in our hearts for the lost we rose up in righteous anger for what the enemy is trying to steal with a renewed FAITH that God wouldanswer our prayers. We began seeking out the sick and laying hands on them and praying. We have seen a few instant miracles which excites us to pray even more. Even when we don't see the miracle, we are determined to press in until we do. As we went in the steets we very quickly saw that the First Nations people were much more open to the gospel and to have us pray for them. This fits perfectly with the vision we have for this region. We believe first of all, that we are called to the First Nations people, but also that THEY will be leading the way in revival. A dear friend, Chet is the only other person we have found who's heart is burning with the same fire as ours. On a typical ministry day, we meet at Chet's house for worship and prayer. Sometimes we pray for 'words of knowledge' before we go. A lot of times we just head out, listening to His voice as to where to go and who to approach. We take a backpack of lunches and bibles and begin talking with people along the way. The streets of Kenora are filled with homeless First Nations people. They are wonderful people with a great sense of humor.....who are so hopeless and in desperate need of a Savior! We are believing God to come in power as the DELIVERER for these precious people. Every one of them is addicted to drugs and alcohol (they actually drink Listerine)

To Date: The Lord has given us two very clear mandates so far. #1- first and foremost is to WORSHIP. We firmly believe that as we worship, everything else will flow from that place. #2- is to “GO YE....into the streets of Kenora” And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. Mark 16:15 Ken has begun connecting with a few First Nations Christians who love the Lord with all their heart. We will be working with them to bring the gospel to the 13 reserves in the surrounding area.

Staking The Land: There is an old paper mill in Kenora on several acres of land which is in the process of being torn down. As we would drive by this mill the Lord began showing us a huge stadium on this property that would be used for conferences and revival meetings. As I asked the Lord one day about the mill He said “Go stake the land and claim Joshua 1:3 over it. Claim it for my purposes.” On June 3rd, Ken, Chet & myself walked around the property and drove stakes into the ground declaring that this land was the Lord's and for His purposes. We are believing for Him to raise up a man to donate multi-millions to purchase and build on the land!

On The Move Again: Since last summer we have moved three more times, and are in the process of moving again. This has been the most difficult things for me (Carrie). Being a mom of four, with another one on the way, my nesting instincts kick in quite often and I'm overwhelmed with the need for my own home. This has been an area of much stretching in our faith and TRUST in God to provide. With every move, we have not known where we were going until the 11th hour. THAT'S STRESSFUL! (Praise God for Clairol hair color, so I can cover up the 500 premature grey hairs that I've aquired) For the past month, we have been living in a beautiful cottage on one of the thousands of lakes in this area. It has been a wonderful resting place for us. I've just recently realized the great work God has done in my life. Having 2 days left to pack up and leave , for the first time, I can honestly say that I have found that place of REST in Him.....knowing He has something in store for us.With no home in sight, as we sought the Lord, He spoke to both of us saying “You'll be heading straight to Florida from here” For about two months, we've been following the Healing Revival in Lakeland, Florida. You can view the meetings live online every night at www.freshfire.ca. We desired to go, but couldn't see how that would be possible, so this news from the Lord was exciting, and even more so, the Lord told us on the way back to Kenora, to stop in our home town to impart the anointing and pray for the sick. So off we go again.....into the unknown, not knowing what awaits us when we return. We are expecting a great impartation, and know that we will be forever changed from sitting under that power and anointing. Next month, we'll send a report on the effects of the outpouring in our lives.

Needs & Prayer Requests: first and foremost please pray for God's Glory and manifest presence to reign in our lives. Pray for breakthrough in ministry. We need Jesus to show up a “The Deliverer” to the First Nations people. Also, God's direction in breaking through the reserves with the gospel. Pray for our family and marriage. We have felt the attacks of a 'spirit of division' many times. (a predominant spirit in this area....every one of the intercessors marriages have ended in divorce) Pray for a permanent residence for our family. We have seen God's providencial hand in our lives this past year. He has clearly provided supernaturally for us! Now we are asking for financial ABUNDANCE to do what He's called us to do! Please pray for God's will to manifest regarding the vision we see with the old mill. As we minister to the homeless, especially in the winter months (our winter's average -30C), we are in need of coats, gloves, hats, scarves, blankets. If your church would be able to help out in this way, we would be so grateful. We also need 'easy to read' Bibles (NIV, New Living etc) and New Believer literature. We so appreciate your continued prayers over our lives and ministry. You are all such a blessing to us!

And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give. Matt. 10: 7,8
